Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, met Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam at his residence at 12, Safdarjung Road, New Delhi. During the meeting, the Union Minister reviewed the progress of agricultural activities and ongoing schemes in Chhattisgarh.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the Price Support Scheme (PSS) proposals submitted by the Chhattisgarh government for the Rabi season 2025–26. The central government has approved PSS proposals for chana (gram), masoor (lentil), and mustard crops. The approval has been granted for a 90-day period in accordance with the guidelines of the PM-AASHA scheme, ensuring procurement of farmers’ produce at Minimum Support Price (MSP).

PoS-Based Procurement Preparations Completed: The Chhattisgarh government has almost completed preparations for Point of Sale (PoS)-based procurement. Necessary actions have also been completed in line with Government of India letters dated 18 September 2025 and 11 November 2025.
