PM Modi’s Address: Festive Cheer, GST Reforms, and a Push for Self-Reliant India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation today, shared India’s future strategy while strongly emphasizing the importance of self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat). 3. One Nation, One Tax – With GST, India has moved away from dozens of complicated taxes towards a unified system under “One Nation, One Tax”. Citizens are encouraged to purchase indigenous products to strengthen the vision of a self-reliant India.
4. Tax Relief and Poverty Reduction – The government has made incomes up to ₹12 lakh tax-free, while also lifting 25 crore citizens out of poverty, giving a significant boost to middle-class families.
5. Future-Ready Tax Reforms – Under the vision of “Nagarik Devo Bhava”, India is moving towards next-generation tax reforms. Small, cottage, and micro industries will play a crucial role in taking India towards greater prosperity.
