Farmers, here’s a golden opportunity to boost your farm income. The Bihar Government has launched the Papaya Development Scheme 2025–26, under which eligible farmers will receive up to 60% subsidy (₹45,000 per hectare) directly into their bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
The scheme aims to promote papaya cultivation in 22 districts of the state and double farmers’ income. By applying on time, farmers can benefit from financial support and modern horticulture practices, without any middlemen involved.

Eligibility Criteria
Women’s Participation: The scheme aims to ensure 30% participation of women farmers every year during beneficiary selection.
The subsidy amount will be directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts through the SNA SPARSH portal under the DBT program, ensuring transparency and eliminating middlemen.
