Paddy procurement registration 2026 starts from September 15
Paddy procurement registration 2026 starts from September 15

Farmers planning to sell their paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the 2026-27 Kharif Marketing Season will need to complete online registration between September 15 and October 10, 2026. The administration has made Farmer Registry mandatory for paddy procurement registration, making it an important step for farmers seeking the benefit of government procurement.

Paddy Procurement Registration from September 15 to October 10:

According to Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi, farmers can register for paddy procurement from September 15 to October 10, 2026. To make the process accessible, registration facilities have been arranged at Gram Panchayat facilitation centres, Janpad Panchayats, Tehsil offices, cooperative societies and procurement centres. Farmers can complete the registration free of cost at these designated centres. They can also register themselves using the MP Kisan App on an Android Smartphone.

Those requiring assistance with online registration can visit MP Online kiosks, Common Service Centres (CSCs), Lok Seva Kendras and privately operated cyber cafés. A fee of ₹50 will be charged for registration through these assisted service centres.

Farmer Registry Mandatory for MSP Procurement:

The administration has made it clear that farmers must have a completed Farmer Registry to register for paddy procurement under the MSP system. Facilities for creating the Farmer Registry will also be available at the registration centres. Farmers can contact their Rural Agricultural Extension Officer or Patwari to complete the process. The Farmer Registry is also important for accessing benefits under various other government agricultural schemes.

Documents Required for Registration:

  1. Aadhaar card
  2. Copy of the land record/passbook showing the cultivated area
  3. Aadhaar-linked bank account details
  4. Mobile number linked to the bank account
  5. Bank IFSC code

Farmers are advised to verify their bank-account and Aadhaar details before registration to prevent payment-related issues later.

Certain Bank Accounts Not Eligible for Payment:

The administration has clarified that Jan Dhan accounts, inactive bank accounts, joint accounts, and accounts with Fino, Airtel and Paytm Bank will not be accepted for procurement payments. Payment for the procured paddy will be transferred to an eligible bank account linked with the farmer's Aadhaar number and mobile number.

Registration Based on Girdawari Records:

Paddy procurement registration will be carried out on the basis of Girdawari, or crop survey records. For both existing and new farmers, details such as land area, crop cultivated and crop variety will be verified using Girdawari records. The registration process will be completed through an OTP-based authentication system.

Special Rule for Sharecroppers and Lessee Farmers:

Farmers cultivating land on a sharecropping or lease basis will also need to meet specific documentation requirements. For the 2026-27 Kharif Marketing Season, only sharecropping or lease agreements signed by the competent authority on or before September 15, 2026, will be accepted for registration.

Farmers Advised to Complete Registration Early:

The administration has urged farmers not to wait until the last date to complete the registration process. Those planning to sell paddy through government procurement should complete their Farmer Registry and paddy procurement registration well in advance.
