The Madhya Pradesh government announced that the state has achieved a significant milestone in capital expenditure during the first quarter of the current financial year. According to CAG data, 16 states recorded an increase in capital expenditure, with Gujarat (65%), Uttar Pradesh (42%), and Madhya Pradesh (41%) leading the list. This marks the best performance by the state so far.
Chief Minister stated that in FY 2024-25, Madhya Pradesh recorded its highest-ever export value of ₹66,218 crore. Driven by pharmaceutical, engineering goods, and soy product exports, the state achieved a 6% growth. As a result, Madhya Pradesh’s national export ranking improved from 15th to 11th position.
During the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing the Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana. Under this scheme, young professionals employed in the private sector will receive government support of ₹15,000 each. Nationwide, 3.5 crore youths are expected to benefit, boosting employment as well as industrial activity in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister further announced that this Diwali will bring major reforms in GST. A new-generation GST framework will reduce the tax burden and make essential commodities more affordable for consumers.
Increased Availability of Urea: Highlighting fertilizer supply, the Chief Minister said the state currently has a stock of 15.60 lakh metric tons of urea, out of which 13.92 lakh metric tons have already been distributed to farmers. With maize acreage expanding by nearly 5 lakh hectares, demand for urea has increased. To meet this, an additional 5.60 lakh metric tons of urea is expected to be available in the coming one and a half months.
Innovation in Shri Mahakal’s Processions:
This year, the grand processions of Lord Shri Mahakal were carried out with special themes. The first procession was held with Vedic chants, while subsequent ones highlighted folk culture, tourism, and traditions. Tribal artists participated enthusiastically, and during the royal procession, flowers were showered from helicopters, drawing active participation from locals.
Promoting Swadeshi and Self-Reliance: Emphasizing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Chief Minister noted that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is moving strongly towards economic self-reliance. The foundation stone of BEML’s modern rail coach factory in Umaria village (Raisen district) and the upcoming PM Mitra Park in Dhar district are landmark steps. These projects are expected to provide a major boost to Madhya Pradesh’s textile industry, promoting a farm-to-foreign growth model.
