The changing landscape of Indian agriculture, new farming alternatives are opening up fresh avenues of prosperity for farmers. In this direction, the government has launched a special initiative under the National Bamboo Mission (NBM) to empower farmers economically. For the year 2024-25, the scheme is being implemented in seven districts of Bihar, with the objective of promoting High-Density Bamboo Plantation on limited land.

The National Bamboo Mission 2024-25 will be implemented in the following seven districts of Bihar:

Farmers can apply for bamboo cultivation within this land range.
Eligibility Criteria: Only land-owning farmers (Raiyat farmers) are eligible to benefit from the scheme. Applicants must submit valid land ownership documents during the application process. If a farmer’s name is not clearly mentioned in the land records or revenue receipt, a lineage certificate (वंशावली प्रमाणपत्र) must also be provided.
Bank Account and Registration Requirements: Interested farmers must ensure that their bank account is registered under the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) system. It is mandatory to verify and update bank details before applying.
Beneficiary Selection Criteria:
Addition, 30% of the beneficiaries in each category will be reserved for women.
How to Apply Online:
After submitting the application, selected beneficiaries under the Farming Bed Scheme and Pot Scheme will receive their bank account details and other necessary information for depositing their contribution amount.
