Three Trough Lines, Two Cyclonic Circulations, and a Depression Behind the Rain:
According to Dr. Divya E. Surendran, Senior Scientist at the IMD, the intense rainfall is due to the activation of three trough lines, two cyclonic circulations, and one depression system over the region. These systems are likely to remain active for the next four days, continuing to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state.
