Madhya Pradesh government has launched a major initiative to help OBC youth prepare for recruitment in the army, police, home guards, and other security forces. Under the “Shaurya Sankalp Training Scheme 2026,” eligible candidates will receive 45 days of free residential training along with several additional benefits. The state aims to train around 4,000 youth through this programme. Interested applicants can submit offline applications until 6 PM on May 11.
Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge), Krishna Gaur, said the government is committed to creating equal employment opportunities for OBC youth under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. She encouraged eligible candidates to actively participate in the scheme and take advantage of the opportunity.
The application process has been kept fully offline and free of cost. Candidates can download the application form from the official website of the Department of Backward Classes and Minority Welfare: Department of Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Application forms are also available free of cost at Assistant Director Offices of the department in 20 selected districts across the state. Completed forms, along with the required documents, must be submitted to the respective offices on or before May 11.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh and belong to the OBC non-creamy layer category. A minimum qualification of Class 12 pass is mandatory. Under physical eligibility norms, male candidates must have a minimum height of 168 cm, while female candidates must be at least 155 cm tall. Candidates should not have flat feet or knock-knee conditions. If applications exceed 4,000, selection will be based on Class 12 merit scores. In case of equal marks, preference will be given to older candidates.
Free Facilities and Monthly Stipend:
Selected candidates will receive free accommodation, meals, breakfast, and study material during the 45-day residential training period. Male trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹1,000, while female trainees will receive ₹1,100 directly into their bank accounts. To encourage women’s participation, 35% of the total seats have been reserved for female candidates.
Focus on Physical and Written Preparation:
The programme has been designed as a result-oriented training module. Trainees will receive nearly four hours of daily classroom coaching for written examinations, along with three hours of physical training that includes running, long jump, high jump, and shot put practice.
Training Centres across 20 Districts:
The scheme will initially operate through 40 training centres across 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Sagar, Satna, Chhindwara, Morena, and others. Separate arrangements will be made for male and female candidates.
