Farmers in Madhya Pradesh to Get Modern Agricultural Equipment at Half Price – Know Eligibility and Application Process

Madhya Pradesh government has announced subsidies under the E-Krishi Yantra Grant Scheme to make farming easier and more efficient. Farmers can now purchase advanced agricultural machinery such as Automatic High Ground Clearance Sprayers, Power Weeders, Cleaner-cum-Graders, and Fertilizer Broadcasters at nearly half the price with government assistance.

The application process for this scheme began on August 18, 2025, and beneficiaries will be selected through a lottery system.

Which Equipment Will Be Subsidized?

This year, subsidies will be provided on four key types of agricultural equipment:

• Automatic High Ground Clearance Sprayer – Boom Type (in selected districts)
• Power Weeder
• Cleaner-cum-Grader
• Fertilizer Broadcaster

The Agriculture Department has stated that the subsidy target will be decided based on the number of applications received, and selection will be done through a lottery. Farmers can receive subsidies of up to ₹50,000 under this scheme.

Who Can Apply?

Any farmer from Madhya Pradesh can apply, subject to the following conditions:

• The farmer must already own a tractor in their name.
• Farmers who have received subsidies for these specific machines under any scheme in the last five years will not be eligible.

How Much Subsidy Will Be Provided?

The subsidy percentage will vary depending on the farmer category:

• Small and marginal farmers: 40% to 50% subsidy
• Other categories: 30% to 40% subsidy

Demand Draft Required with Application:

Applicants must submit a security deposit in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) along with their application. The amount will depend on the equipment chosen:

• Boom Sprayer – ₹5,000
• Power Weeder – ₹3,100
• Cleaner-cum-Grader – ₹3,000
• Fertilizer Broadcaster – ₹5,500
• Reaper (Automatic) – ₹3,300

 Note: Applications without the required DD will not be considered valid.

Documents Required for Application:

Farmers must keep the following documents ready while applying:

• Aadhaar Card
• Bank Passbook
• Caste Certificate
• Copy of B-1 land record
• Electricity connection certificate
• Passport-size photograph
• Mobile number

The application process will be completed through e-KYC (fingerprint authentication). Farmers may also apply via their nearest MP Online or CSC Center.
