The Agro-Industrial Conclave 2025 was organized in Sitamau, Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed entrepreneurs during the "Dialogue with Food Processing Entrepreneurs" session. He stated that prosperous farmers and advanced agriculture are the hallmarks of Madhya Pradesh. By promoting food processing industries, not only will industrial opportunities increase, but farmers' income will also grow significantly. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is formulating simple and favorable policies to support agri-based industries and is committed to providing every possible assistance to entrepreneurs.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 11 industrial units worth ₹3,812 crore, which are expected to generate direct employment for over 6,850 people at the local level.
Madhya Pradesh Leads the World in Wheat Yield
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav proudly shared that Madhya Pradesh has surpassed the United States in per-acre wheat production. He emphasized that the state government is committed to removing all barriers in the path of investors. During the recent Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal, investment proposals worth ₹30 lakh crore were received. The state offers robust infrastructure, including reliable electricity, water, roads, and investor-friendly industrial policies.
Investment to Reach Every District
Dr. Yadav further announced that earlier, such investment summits were limited to major cities, but now the initiative has been extended to divisional and district levels, starting with Mandsaur. This move will provide local investors and entrepreneurs with new opportunities. The state government is committed to offering equal investment prospects to all categories of investors.
Madhya Pradesh: Among the Fastest Growing States
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain remarked that making Madhya Pradesh employment-oriented is a top priority for the government. To achieve this, industries are being actively promoted. Madhya Pradesh currently has the highest growth rate among major Indian states, and agriculture contributes 44% to the state’s GDP. The Mandsaur-Neemuch region, known for its spices, holds tremendous potential for food processing units.
A New Era for Food Processing
Additional Chief Secretary (Horticulture & Food Processing), Shri Anupam Rajan, highlighted that the Agro-Industrial Conclave series has begun from Sitamau, Mandsaur. The event showcased cutting-edge technologies in agriculture, and similar conclaves will be held across other divisions and districts of the state in the future. Shri Chandramouli Shukla, Managing Director of MPIDC, presented various investment promotion policies. The event witnessed participation from several cabinet ministers, the Deputy Chief Minister, and leading industrialists who also shared their experiences.
