Record Export of ₹66,000 Crore; Employment Schemes to Benefit Youth

The Madhya Pradesh government announced that the state has recorded significant growth in capital expenditure during the first quarter of the current financial year. According to the CAG report, out of 16 states that registered an increase in capital expenditure, Gujarat achieved 65%, Uttar Pradesh 42%, and Madhya Pradesh 41%, placing them among the top three states in the country.

Record Growth in Exports, Improved National Ranking:

In FY 2024-25, Madhya Pradesh achieved its highest-ever export value of ₹66,218 crore. A 6% growth has been recorded, driven by higher exports of pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, and soy-based products. With this surge, the state’s national ranking has improved from 15th to 11th position.

Implementation of PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana:

During a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the council expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and approved the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. Under this scheme, youth securing jobs in the private sector will receive a financial support of ₹15,000 from the government. The initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for around 3.5 crore young people across the country. The Chief Minister further stated that the upcoming GST reforms, to be introduced by this Diwali, will provide major relief to citizens by reducing the prices of essential commodities.

Urea Supply and Maize Production:

Highlighting the agricultural scenario, the Chief Minister informed that the state currently holds a total stock of 15.60 lakh metric tonnes of urea, of which 13.92 lakh metric tonnes have already been distributed to farmers. A balance of 1.68 lakh metric tonnes remains available. This year, maize cultivation has expanded by nearly 5 lakh hectares, resulting in higher demand for urea. To meet this demand, an additional 5.60 lakh metric tonnes of urea is expected to be supplied within the next one and a half months.
