Lucknow is set to witness a major gathering of the dairy sector as the ‘Dairy Golden Festival 2026’ will be held on April 17 and 18. The event is being organized to mark 50 years of the Department of Dairy Development and will take place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. Around 10,000 livestock farmers, dairy producers, and investors from across the state are expected to participate in this two-day event.
The festival will highlight the role of modern technology and innovation in transforming the dairy sector. Subject experts will share insights on advanced farming techniques, efficient dairy management practices, and ways to enhance productivity. Discussions will also focus on strengthening the rural economy and promoting indigenous cattle breeds.
To encourage investment in the dairy industry, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed through a single-window system. Private companies and investors will showcase their dairy products and innovations through dedicated stalls and kiosks. A food court featuring traditional Indian cuisines will also be a key attraction at the event.
The event will also be accessible online, enabling participation from lakhs of dairy farmers and investors from across India and abroad. This digital integration is expected to facilitate a wider exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices within the dairy ecosystem.

The first session of the festival will include ceremonial activities, exhibition inauguration, release of success story publications, and distribution of awards under the Nand Baba Milk Mission through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The second session will feature presentations by dairy science experts, academicians, and beneficiaries of state policies, sharing their experiences and innovative approaches.
