The Madhya Pradesh government has announced that all eligible women under the Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹1500 as monthly financial assistance after Diwali. Additionally, an extra ₹250 will be given to women as a Raksha Bandhan gift. This major announcement was made by the Chief Minister during the Women Empowerment and Tribal Pride Conference held in Sarai village of Singrauli district.
The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of a medical college in Singrauli, with the aim of producing local doctors by next year. A total of 54 infrastructure projects worth over ₹503 crore were either inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid. A survey has been initiated for a new 100-bed hospital in the Sarai region. Plans are also underway to construct a 52-kilometer four-lane road between Bargawan and Parswa, along with the establishment of a sub-divisional office in Sarai.
The Chief Minister emphasized, "Under our government, every Ladli daughter becomes a lakhpati (millionaire) from birth." Upon turning 18, each girl will receive over ₹1 lakh. He further added that more than 15,000 meritorious girl students have already been given scooters. The state has allocated over ₹27,000 crore specifically for women-oriented schemes, including ₹18,000 crore for the Ladli Behna Yojana alone.
The Chief Minister highlighted that 39% of Singrauli’s population belongs to Scheduled Tribes, and over 5 lakh people are already benefiting from various government schemes. Special initiatives such as the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme, Tantya Mama Economic Welfare Scheme, Jan-Man Yojana, and Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan are being actively implemented for tribal welfare.
During the conference, the Madhya Pradesh government dedicated 54 development projects in Singrauli worth ₹503.09 crore. Of these, 20 completed projects worth ₹104.67 crore were inaugurated, and the foundation stones were laid for 34 new projects estimated at ₹398.41 crore.
