Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla conducted a review meeting at the newly constructed wing of the Circuit House in Rewa to assess the progress of irrigation projects in the region. He directed officials to expedite the completion of the Sitapur-Hanumana Lift Irrigation Project and the Bansagar Canal works to ensure water reaches every agricultural field in Rewa and Mauganj districts.

He emphasized that forest and environmental clearances should be obtained in a timely manner to complete the survey work for the Sitapur-Hanumana project. The location for the main dam has already been finalized, and survey permission from the forest department has been granted.

Farmers to Soon Receive Irrigation Benefits:

The government aims to complete all pending irrigation projects by June 30, ensuring irrigation coverage across 1.25 lakh acres for the upcoming farming season. The project will benefit 65,000 hectares in Mauganj, 28,000 hectares in Sidhi, 26,500 hectares in Singrauli, and 3,000 hectares in Rewa.

Afforestation and Environmental Compensation Plans:

As the project impacts around 22,000 hectares of forest land, compensatory afforestation will be carried out in Hanumana Tehsil and the Hinoti Gaudham area. A target has been set to plant 10,000 saplings during the monsoon.

₹2.32 Crore Development Works Inaugurated in Malhargarh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora inaugurated various development projects worth ₹2.32 crore in the Malhargarh constituency, including the new Municipal Council Office Building in Narayangarh, built at a cost of ₹1 crore.

Micro-Irrigation to Reach Every Farm: Shri Deora announced that through the Malhargarh Micro-Irrigation Project, every farm in the region will receive water for irrigation and every village will have access to clean drinking water. He also honored donors who provided land for a hospital in Khajuri God village and announced the construction of a community hall there.

Government Schemes Changing Lives in Rural Areas: Highlighting the transformational impact of welfare schemes, Shri Deora stated that farmers are now able to harvest three crops annually, thanks to improved irrigation and 24/7 electricity supply. He also outlined key schemes like:

  2. LPG gas connections
  3. Toilet construction
  4. PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi
  5. Interest-free agricultural loans
  6. Ladli Behna Yojana
  7. Sambal Yojana for unorganized workers
