Marking the 98th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the Government of India announced a series of major initiatives aimed at modernizing Indian agriculture and improving farmers' livelihoods. Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented a comprehensive roadmap for the agricultural sector aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
