The Haryana Government has launched the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme 2025, giving traders and business owners an opportunity to resolve their long-pending tax disputes. Under this scheme, heavy relief is being offered on interest and penalties, making it a golden chance to clear dues without extra burden.

Note: The scheme is valid only till 27 September 2025 this is the final window to settle outstanding tax liabilities.

One Time Settlement Scheme, Objective:

The state government has rolled out this initiative keeping the interests of small taxpayers in mind. The OTS Scheme 2025 aims to facilitate the settlement of pending dues under seven Acts, including VAT (Value Added Tax) and CST (Central Sales Tax).

Applicable Period: The scheme covers outstanding taxes up to 30 June 2017. Taxpayers with dues pending until this date are eligible to benefit from this one-time relief.

Through this scheme, small traders and businesses can resolve old disputes while availing waivers on interest and penalties. The move is designed to ease financial stress and encourage compliance.

According to official data:

  • 97,039 taxpayers have already benefited from the scheme.
  • A total of ₹712.88 crore in outstanding dues has been settled.

How to Apply for OTS-2025:

The application process is completely online:

  1. Visit the official portal: haryanatax.gov.in and log in/register on the OTS-2025 portal.
  2. Fill out Form OTS-1, providing details of outstanding tax dues and the relevant Act.
  3. If any appeal is pending, a declaration for withdrawal of the appeal must be submitted.
  4. Make payment of the due amount within the stipulated time (either in lump sum or installments).
  5. Once details and payments are verified, a settlement order will be issued by the concerned authority.
