In a major relief to farmers, the Haryana government has announced a seed subsidy for barley and wheat cultivation. The initiative aims to provide high-quality seeds, boost crop productivity, and maintain soil fertility across the state.
Under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (Coarse Cereals), barley farmers in seven districts Panchkula, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Hisar, Jhajjar, and Charkhi Dadri—will receive subsidized seeds. In addition to seed support, assistance will also be extended for setting up demonstration plots and implementing plant and soil conservation measures.

For wheat cultivation, the government has shortlisted eight districts Ambala, Bhiwani, Hisar, Jhajjar, Mewat, Palwal, Charkhi Dadri, and Rohtak. Subsidy will be provided not only on wheat seeds but also for creating demonstration plots and undertaking soil-conservation initiatives.
