The Madhya Pradesh government has reiterated its commitment to the development of the fertile and prosperous area of Narmadapuram. As part of this vision, a Regional Industry Conclave was organized to promote agriculture-based industries and attract industrial investments in the area. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated 31 development projects worth ₹97.07 crore and laid the foundation stone for 48 new projects worth ₹102.94 crore. He also announced the establishment of a new sports stadium in Seoni Malwa.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is implementing several welfare schemes for farmers, youth, women, and workers. The Chief Minister informed that this year, wheat is being procured at ₹2,600 per quintal. The government will also install 5 lakh solar pumps across the state, offering up to 90% subsidy. Farmers will receive free electricity through metered solar pumps, and in the future, the government also plans to buy electricity from farmers.
On 26 May 2025, a Kisan Udyog Samagam Mela will be organized in Narsinghpur, where modern agricultural machinery will be showcased. Similar events will also take place in Rewa, Satna, and Chambal divisions.
Irrigation Coverage to Expand to 100 Lakh Hectares; Major Job Drive for Youth
The Chief Minister highlighted that irrigation facilities have grown significantly—from 7 lakh hectares to 55 lakh hectares. The state now aims to expand irrigation coverage to 100 lakh hectares. To address youth employment, 1 lakh government jobs will be filled this year, and 2.5 lakh positions are planned to be filled over the next five years.
New Schemes for Farmers and Rural Development
To boost farmers' income, the state government has announced the Innovative Gopalak Yojana, under which farmers purchasing 200 Gir cows will receive a 25% subsidy, and the government will also procure milk from them. Additionally, state-run transport buses will now reach rural villages, enhancing connectivity.
To promote emergency care, anyone who helps road accident victims reach a hospital will be rewarded with ₹25,000. Furthermore, an air ambulance service has been launched to assist critically ill patients holding Ayushman Bharat cards.
