Weather Becomes Active Across India: Light Rain in Delhi-NCR, Heavy Rain Alerts in Several States

Weather activity has intensified across India, with many regions experiencing rainfall and strong winds, while Delhi-NCR enjoys relief from humid conditions due to light showers.
Relief in Delhi-NCR
Recent light rains in Delhi and the surrounding areas have made the weather more pleasant, easing the sweltering heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the city can expect light to moderate rainfall over the next three days, with clouds remaining overhead. On October 2, light rain is likely, while on October 3, skies will be partly cloudy, and temperatures may remain slightly above normal.

Changing Weather in Northwest India

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted thunderstorms and rainfall in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and the Himalayan states. Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are expected to witness active weather from October 4 to 6.

Heavy Rain Expected in Eastern and Central States
Rainfall activity will continue in eastern and central India. West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and Jharkhand are likely to receive heavy showers between October 2 and 6. Odisha, in particular, faces the possibility of extremely heavy rain on October 2. Jharkhand and the Ganga plains may also experience thunderstorms and strong winds along with the rainfall.

Active Weather in Northeast and Southern India
Northeastern states will see continuous rainfall over the next five days, with Assam and Meghalaya expecting extremely heavy showers on October 3. Southern states, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana, will also experience strong winds and rain over the coming days.
