Price & Arrival Analysis - Where Prices Rose and Where They Fell:

The strongest price surge today was seen in Hansi, where premium garlic sold for up to ₹12,000 per quintal the highest in the region. Similarly, Barwala (Hisar), Samalkha, and Narnaul offered impressive prices in the ₹6,000–₹7,000 range for good-quality garlic.

On the lower side, Barara mandi reported the weakest prices, with average-quality garlic selling for just ₹1,500–₹2,000, making it the lowest range of the day.

Delhi’s Azadpur mandi saw heavy arrivals of more than 51 tonnes, which pushed minimum prices down to ₹3,000. However, top-quality lots still managed to sell at ₹10,000, showing that demand for premium garlic remains strong.

In Haryana, Indri APMC recorded the highest arrivals at 5.75 tonnes, followed by heavy inflow in Azadpur. These markets showed slightly softer prices due to excess supply. In contrast, mandis with extremely low arrivals such as Samalkha, Shahabad, and Narnaul continued to record higher prices due to tight supply.

Key Advice for Farmers:

  1. Farmers with premium-quality garlic should sell now, especially in markets like Hansi, Samalkha, and Barwala (Hisar) where prices are exceptionally strong.
  2. Avoid selling average-quality garlic at the moment, as several mandis are offering very low rates (₹1,500–₹3,000).
  3. Demand in Delhi and Haryana is stable if you have storage facilities, holding the stock for 10–15 days may bring even better prices.
  4. Prices may rise further in low-arrival mandis over the next few days, so keep monitoring nearby markets to maximize profits.
