Today, Basmati paddy (Paddy – Basmati) prices witnessed a strong surge across agricultural markets in India. In several major mandis of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, demand for popular varieties such as 1121, 1509, and Superfine has suddenly increased.
Due to limited arrivals and active buying, prices have shot up between ₹2,300 and ₹3,800 per quintal. This trend suggests that the Basmati market may continue to strengthen in the coming days.
For farmers, this is a profitable opportunity. Those with high-quality paddy can consider selling now, as buyers are offering strong rates. In regions with heavy arrivals, prices have stayed largely stable, keeping the overall market balanced.
Let’s look at the latest mandi prices and where Basmati paddy fetched the best rates today.

Farmer Advisory (03 November 2025):
	- Sell high-quality paddy immediately — Premium varieties like 1121 and Superfine are getting strong rates in both Punjab and UP.

	- Demand remains strong — Increased buying by northern Indian mills indicates that prices may stay firm over the next few days.

	- Avoid long-term storage — Moisture can reduce grain quality, leading to lower prices later. Selling on time ensures better profit.
