Arhar Price in Uttar Pradesh Today (20 November 2025)

Farmers preparing to sell tur (arhar) dal may find today’s market update surprising. Several mandis in Uttar Pradesh recorded a sharp rise in prices, with rates crossing ₹10,400 per quintal. Meanwhile, a few markets witnessed a slow trading trend.

Low arrivals and firm demand kept prices elevated in many smaller mandis where the inflow remained below one tonne. On the other hand, larger markets saw mostly steady to slightly weak trends. If you want to sell your produce at the right time, today’s mandi report is crucial. It includes statewise latest prices, arrival status, and a complete market analysis to help you secure better profits.

Varanasi registered the largest arrival of 60 tonnes, resulting in a capped upper price of ₹10,150. In contrast, mandis such as Achalda, Jais, Jahanabad and Safdarganj reported arrivals below 1 tonne, leading to comparatively stronger prices.

Overall, markets with low arrivals showed firm pricing, while mandis with higher inflow experienced steady-to-weak trends. Compared to last week, some mandis witnessed an increase of ₹100–₹150 per quintal, whereas others recorded a small decline of ₹50–₹80.

Farmer Advisory

  • High-price mandis like Pukhrayan, Aligarh, and Varanasi are offering above ₹10,000 per quintal. Selling here can give farmers good returns.
  • High-arrival markets such as Varanasi and Azamgarh may see pressure in the coming days, so storing part of the stock could be beneficial.
  • Demand for pulses generally strengthens between August and November, so prices may continue to firm up. Selling in batches can help secure better averages.
  • Good cleaning, grading and quality maintenance increase the chances of fetching premium rates in competitive markets.
