tomato rates – 30 September 2025

Tomato markets across India witnessed dramatic price fluctuations today. In some mandis, heavy arrivals pushed rates down, while in others, limited supply helped farmers secure high prices. For growers, this makes strategic planning crucial — deciding where and when to sell can significantly impact profits.

According to today’s data, Khambhat (Gujarat) and Chhachhrauli and Hansi (Haryana) mandis saw tomato prices soar up to ₹3,500/quintal, whereas Rajkot (Gujarat) and Rahuri (Maharashtra) recorded rates as low as ₹500/quintal.

Markets with heavy arrivals, such as Rajkot (176 tonnes), Pune Moshi (73.5 tonnes), and Gurgaon (89.5 tonnes), faced price pressure, while low-supply mandis offered better returns to farmers. With the festive season approaching, tomato demand is likely to rise, presenting opportunities for careful sellers.
