Pipariya Mandi Records Lowest Price – Only ₹250 per Quintal: Pipariya mandi, the minimum tomato price dropped to just ₹250 per quintal — possibly the lowest of the season. Though the highest price in this mandi reached ₹900 per quintal, most farmers found it hard to even cover production costs.

Jaora Mandi Hits the Peak – Tomato Prices Soar to ₹2,500 per Quintal: On the other end of the spectrum, Jaora mandi witnessed a significant surge in tomato prices. The maximum price touched ₹2,500 per quintal, with even the minimum rate at ₹2,000. This was welcome news for farmers in the region.

Stable Yet Modest Returns in Indore, Khurai, and Sarangpur: Tomato prices in mandis like Indore, Khurai, Sehore, and Sarangpur ranged between ₹800 and ₹1,600 per quintal. While the rates remained stable, the profits for most farmers were modest. In Sehore, only 0.15 tonnes of tomatoes arrived, so the price movement was relatively unaffected.

Desi Tomato Prices Drop – Farmers Suffer Losses: The Desi variety of tomatoes saw weaker demand in mandis like Itarsi and Sagar. In both locations, prices hovered around ₹500 or lower. For instance, Sagar received over 8 tonnes of tomatoes, yet the minimum price dropped to just ₹300 — a clear setback for local growers.
