Food Security Scheme, families falling under the Antyodaya and Priority categories will receive their ration for three months — June, July, and August — in a single distribution during June.
District Supply Officer Mr. Kamlesh Tandekar informed that Antyodaya families will be provided with 105 kilograms of food grains, 3 kilograms of salt, and 3 kilograms of sugar. Beneficiaries under the Priority category will receive 15 kilograms of food grains per family member, which includes both wheat and rice. Each family will also get 3 kilograms of salt, priced at ₹1 per kilogram.
Farmers have been advised to use balanced fertilizers for both traditional and hybrid varieties of paddy. According to the Deputy Director of Agriculture, farmers should get their soil tested and follow the recommendations mentioned in the Soil Health Card for optimal fertilizer usage.
Overuse of fertilizers can not only increase costs but also harm the soil and crops. Proper balance leads to higher productivity and long-term soil health.
