Rabi crop sowing across the country is moving ahead at a steady pace. Oilseed cultivation has also gained ground this season. The total oilseed-sown area has increased to 97.03 lakh hectares in 2025–26, compared to 93.58 lakh hectares last year—an increase of 3.45 lakh hectares.
