Huge Price Differences — From ₹100 to ₹2,512 Per Quintal!

  • Despite a heavy arrival of 530 tons in Devla market, the minimum price was only ₹150 per quintal.
  • Contrast, in Pimpalgaon, onions sold for as high as ₹2,512 per quintal, which was the highest price recorded today.
  • Indapur and Mangal Vedha also saw prices cross the ₹2,000 mark.

Better Prices — Delhi or Maharashtra?

Delhi’s Keshopur market, the minimum onion price today was ₹800 and the maximum was ₹1,400 per quintal. When compared to Maharashtra’s major markets, it’s clear that several Maharashtra mandis had much higher rates — for example, Solapur saw ₹2,200, Pimpalgaon ₹2,512, and Nagpur ₹1,800 per quintal.

Although Delhi’s arrival was limited (only 93.71 tons), which helped stabilize prices, Maharashtra had heavy arrivals but still managed to get high prices for quality onions. This means if you have good quality onions, Maharashtra’s bigger markets can fetch better prices, but for local sales, Delhi remains a decent option.
