Potato markets across the country witnessed sharp fluctuations in both prices and arrivals today. Farmer Advisory

  1. In heavy arrival mandis (Kanpur, Farrukhabad, Azadpur), farmers are advised to hold their stock instead of selling immediately.

  2. In low-supply mandis (Ara, Doharighat, Sangaria), farmers should sell now to benefit from better prices.

  3. With the festive season ahead, potato demand may rise. Farmers can sell part of their stock now and store the rest for future gains.

  4. Those with storage facilities should consider keeping their produce safe for a few weeks, as prices are likely to climb.
