Today, the highest onion price was recorded in Amravati (Maharashtra), where the maximum price reached ₹2,500 per quintal. Markets like Keshopur (Delhi) and Hingna APMC also recorded strong prices, with onions selling up to ₹2,000 per quintal.
On the other hand, Solapur market saw the lowest price of the day at around ₹100 per quintal, mainly because of very high arrivals.
In terms of supply, Solapur recorded the highest arrival with about 4,123 tons, followed by Lasalgaon (2,437 tons) and Pune APMC (1,562 tons). Due to such large arrivals, prices in these markets remained under pressure.
Meanwhile, markets like Hingna (0.3 tons) and Pune Khadki (1.6 tons) had very low arrivals, which helped keep prices relatively higher. Delhi markets recorded moderate arrivals, and prices remained stable between ₹1,100 and ₹2,000 per quintal.
