Madhya Pradesh’s Cooperation Minister, Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, has directed the establishment of a dedicated Cooperative Public-Private Partnership (CPPP) Wing to ensure the effective implementation of the CPPP model in the state. This wing will function as a single-window system for private investors, cooperative societies, and farmers, aiming to make related processes more efficient, transparent, and prompt.
This decision was taken during a review meeting held at the ministry, in line with the directives of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah. Strategies were also framed in the meeting to monitor the progress and on-ground implementation of the MoUs signed during the Investors’ Summit.
Minister Shri Sarang instructed the creation of a separate office for the CPPP Wing and emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of the MoUs’ progress. The meeting was attended by senior officials including Shri Alok Kumar Singh, Managing Director of the Marketing Federation, and Shri Manoj Pushp, Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperatives.
Integrated Platform for Farmers and Investors
The CPPP Wing will serve as an integrated platform to facilitate permissions, processes, and guidance related to investments. It will streamline and bring transparency to the MoU process among cooperative banks, societies, farmers, and private investors.
Support for Farmers and Entrepreneurs
Minister Sarang also shared that the CPPP Wing will coordinate with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC). It will play a crucial role in connecting farmers, emerging entrepreneurs, and cooperative institutions with the welfare schemes of the central and state governments.
Training and Seminars for Farmers
Workshops will be organized for farmers engaged in raw material production in the cooperative sector, focusing on technical knowledge and quality enhancement. In addition, a large-scale seminar will be conducted, inviting successful cooperative entrepreneurs and leading farmers to promote the exchange of best practices and experiences.
Performance-Based Grading for Cooperatives
Shri Sarang also directed that all cooperative societies in the state should be graded based on their performance. The grading will consider financial health, transparency in management, quality of services, dividend distribution, and benefits provided to members. This initiative will help improve the efficiency and accountability of cooperative societies across Madhya Pradesh.
