The weather pattern across India is set to change once again. According to the latest forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), weather activity is expected to remain intense in several parts of the country over the coming days. While parts of southern India may witness rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, northern and central regions are likely to face dense fog, cold wave conditions, and severe winter chill. In view of fluctuating temperatures, fog alerts, and strong winds over coastal areas, the IMD has advised people to remain cautious.

Minimum temperatures over northwest India and Madhya Pradesh are expected to remain largely unchanged over the next seven days. In Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh, minimum temperatures may rise gradually by around 2°C over the next three days, after which conditions are likely to stabilize. Eastern and northeastern parts of the country may also witness a slight increase in minimum temperatures in the coming days.

Rajasthan is likely to experience severe cold wave conditions on 12 and 13 January, while Bihar and other parts of north India may also remain under the grip of cold wave conditions for a few days.
Rough Weather over Sea Regions: Adverse weather conditions are prevailing over the southwest Bay of Bengal, along the Sri Lanka coast, and nearby sea areas, accompanied by strong winds.
