The country is witnessing changing weather conditions with widespread rainfall across several states including Madhya Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. The system developing over the Bay of Bengal is further influencing the weather in many regions.
According to the Meteorological Department, the spell of rain is likely to persist in Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, more than 25 districts of the state received rainfall. On Friday as well, moderate showers are expected in divisions like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Narmadapuram. The wet spell may continue for the next four days, after which rainfall is expected to subside with the onset of Navratri.
Delhi and adjoining areas like Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Gurugram, cloudy skies are predicted with chances of light showers at some places. Winds from the southeast direction may blow at speeds of 8–12 kmph during the morning hours. The weather is likely to clear up from September 21 onwards.
Uttar Pradesh has witnessed good rainfall over the past two days, bringing down the temperatures. However, in the coming days, rainfall is expected to reduce and heat may return. While some places in western UP and a few parts of eastern UP may still see light showers, an overall decline in rain is expected from tomorrow. Bihar, several districts have recorded heavy rain for three consecutive days. The IMD has issued a fresh alert for more heavy rain in different parts of the state today.
Cyclonic System over Bay of Bengal:
The weather department has predicted light rain with strong winds in Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan for the next two days. Madhya Pradesh and Bihar may experience heavy rain with thunderstorms over the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation forming over the Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger widespread rainfall in multiple states.
