In Haryana’s markets, rates soared to an unbelievable ₹3,500 per quintal, while in parts of Madhya Pradesh, prices crashed as low as ₹600 per quintal. This steep fluctuation has left both farmers and traders concerned about the unpredictable market trends.

In markets like Ganaur, Gharaunda, and Pipariya, prices climbed up to ₹3,000 per quintal, while places like Barwani, Sanawad, and Sarangpur recorded sharp declines. Farmers are being advised to closely track market trends and choose the right timing for sales to maximize profits.

Advice for Farmers:

  1. In markets with heavy arrivals (Khargone, Indore), it may be better to sell immediately since prices are under pressure.
  2. Where low arrivals are fetching higher rates (Ganaur, Gharaunda, Pipariya), farmers should sell now to secure good profits.
  3. If rains and humidity continue, tomato quality may decline — farmers should focus on proper storage and crop protection.
