Farmers and traders have received major updates from the garlic markets today. On 13 February 2026, significant price movements were recorded across leading garlic mandis in the country. While prices in several markets remained firmly above ₹12,000 per quintal, limited arrivals and strong demand pushed rates to record highs in select mandis. In a few markets, garlic was traded at up to ₹16,000 per quintal, bringing visible relief and optimism among farmers.

In many mandis across Haryana and Maharashtra, low arrivals combined with strong buying demand kept today’s mandi prices elevated. On the other hand, large wholesale markets such as Azadpur in Delhi witnessed heavy arrivals. This led to pressure on minimum prices; however, good-quality garlic still fetched premium rates even in high-arrival markets.

Overall, today’s latest mandi trends clearly indicate that choosing the right market at the right time is the key to higher profits.

Price and Arrival Trend Analysis:

The strongest price surge today was recorded in Sangli mandi of Maharashtra, where garlic touched a maximum price of ₹16,000 per quintal. Hingna and Pune also witnessed strong trading, with prices reaching ₹14,000, while Chandrapur recorded a high of ₹13,700.

Garlic prices in Haryana mandis remained firm as well. In Shahabad, rates ranged between ₹11,500 and ₹12,000, while Hansi and Narnaul continued to trade above ₹10,000 per quintal.

In terms of arrivals, Azadpur mandi in Delhi (177.4 tonnes) and Nagpur (172 tonnes) received the highest volumes. Due to heavy supply, minimum prices in these markets dropped to ₹3,200–₹5,000. In contrast, mandis such as Hingna, Rahata, and Thanesar, where arrivals were extremely low (around 0.3 tonnes), maintained strong price levels.

Advisory for Garlic Farmers

  • Farmers holding good-quality, storage-friendly garlic may avoid panic selling, as prices are likely to remain firm in the near term.
  • Mandis with low arrivals and high prices such as Sangli, Hingna, and Pune may offer better selling opportunities.
  • In high-arrival markets like Azadpur and Nagpur, lower minimum prices can reduce profits; farmers should consider alternative mandis where demand is stronger.
