Do you know where garlic prices soared sky-high today and where they crashed to the lowest levels? • The highest arrivals were reported from Ghiraur (Uttar Pradesh) at 230 tonnes, while several mandis recorded arrivals of less than 1 tonne.
  • In Sriganganagar (Rajasthan), despite a large arrival of 40 tonnes, prices remained stable between ₹4,800–₹5,200 per quintal.
  • Markets in Haryana and Gujarat reported strong prices between ₹9,000–₹11,000 per quintal, considered high on a national scale.

Farmer Advisory

  • Farmers with high-quality garlic should consider selling in Punjab (Fazilka, Patiala) and Gujarat, where rates are consistently above ₹10,000 per quintal.
  • In Uttar Pradesh, higher arrivals are keeping prices low—farmers here should consider storage and wait for better market conditions.
  • In Rajasthan and Punjab, due to medium arrivals, prices are likely to remain stable—making it a good opportunity for immediate selling.
