Farmers have been advised to adopt a balanced approach in the use of fertilizers for both paddy and hybrid paddy crops. Deputy Director of Agriculture, Mr. U.P. Bagri, emphasized that every farmer should begin with soil testing of their fields. Through the Soil Health Card, farmers can accurately know the availability and deficiency of nutrients in their soil. It also provides crop-wise recommendations on the balanced use of fertilizers. Following these guidelines will help farmers achieve better results.
He further explained that excessive use of fertilizers not only increases the financial burden on farmers but also adversely affects soil health and crop quality.
