Madhya Pradesh is currently experiencing a shift in weather. Several districts have witnessed strong winds, heavy rain, and hailstorms, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. According to forecasts, this weather pattern may continue from May 5 to May 8, with chances of strong winds, rainfall, and hail in different parts of the state.
On Sunday, May 4, unexpected weather changes were seen in many districts, including the capital Bhopal. Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds brought a cool and pleasant atmosphere. In fact, the weather felt almost like the onset of the monsoon season.
Western Madhya Pradesh received significant rainfall. Indore recorded 7 cm and Ujjain 1 cm of rain. Other districts like Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, and Khandwa also received showers. Hail was also reported in some areas.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), strong winds at a speed of 50–60 km/h are expected in parts of the state on May 5. Districts like Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Khandwa, and Neemuch could be affected.
Additionally, there is a possibility of hailstorms in eastern Madhya Pradesh.
Due to the change in weather, heat levels have decreased and maximum temperatures have dropped in several cities. For instance, Indore recorded 36.2°C, Bhopal 37°C, and Gwalior 38.5°C. However, Khandwa and Khargone were still the hottest with 42.5°C and 42.4°C respectively.
Similar Weather Likely for the Next 4 Days: The IMD has predicted that the current weather conditions are likely to persist until May 8. Strong winds up to 60 km/h, rainfall, and chances of hailstorms remain in the forecast. Dusty winds may also continue in Bhopal during this period.
