With the start of the new year, Tur (Arhar) dal prices have become a major talking point among farmers and traders. On 2 January 2026, strong prices were recorded in several major mandis across the country, creating a positive market sentiment.
Uttar Pradesh, Tur dal largely traded in the range of ₹9,700 to ₹10,500 per quintal, while Mumbai APMC (Maharashtra) registered a high of ₹11,000 per quintal, the highest level seen today.
Limited arrivals, steady demand for good-quality produce, and strategic stock holding have provided solid support to today’s prices. This has raised an important question for farmers: Will Tur prices rise further in the coming days, or will the market stabilize at current levels?
This report brings you latest mandi-wise prices, arrival trends, market analysis, and practical selling advice to help farmers choose the right mandi and timing for better returns.
