Tomato arrivals were very low today in Damnagar mandi, with just 0.06 tonnes reported. The "Local" variety of tomatoes was priced between ₹850 and ₹1,500 per quintal. Due to the limited supply, prices remained on the higher side. The modal price stood at ₹1,200 per quintal.
Surat Mandi: Surat mandi saw a massive arrival of 385 tonnes of tomatoes. The "Other" variety fetched high prices ranging between ₹1,200 and ₹3,000 per quintal. The modal price here was ₹2,100 per quintal, offering profitable returns for local growers.
Anandnagar Mandi: Only 0.1 tonnes of tomatoes arrived in Anandnagar today. Prices for the "Desi" variety ranged from ₹500 to ₹700 per quintal, with the modal price stable at ₹600. Despite the low quantity, prices were slightly subdued.
Kopaganj Mandi: A good arrival of 30 tonnes of tomatoes was reported in Kopaganj. The "Hybrid" variety was sold between ₹800 and ₹1,100 per quintal. The modal price was ₹1,000, which is considered fairly balanced for both farmers and traders.
Magalganj Mandi:Magalganj mandi saw an arrival of 1 tonne of tomatoes. The "Local" variety sold for ₹1,400 to ₹1,480 per quintal. Due to better quality, the modal price reached ₹1,440 per quintal.
Shahabad Mandi: Shahabad mandi also reported 1 tonne of tomato arrivals. The "Desi" variety sold between ₹900 and ₹1,000 per quintal. The modal price was ₹950 per quintal.
