The Madhya Pradesh government has stated that Bhavantar is not merely a scheme, but a reflection of the government’s commitment and respect towards farmers. The Bhavantar amount is the rightful entitlement of farmers and represents the government’s resolve to ensure their economic prosperity. The government reaffirmed that it will never step back from farmer welfare and has dedicated the year 2026 to the well-being of food providers. A state-wide Agriculture Festival will be organised next year to celebrate farmers’ prosperity.
The Chief Minister said that modern farming practices, agricultural extension services, and new technologies will be taken to every village, enabling farmers to make timely and informed decisions to enhance farm profitability. He reiterated that the government has fulfilled the promises made to the people and that the journey of development will continue uninterrupted.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing a state-level conference under the Soybean Bhavantar Payment Scheme held in Jawra, Ratlam district, on Sunday. During the event, ₹810 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 3.77 lakh soybean farmers through a single-click system.
This included 12,386 farmers from Ratlam district, who received ₹20.74 crore directly into their accounts. The Chief Minister informed that, including the latest disbursement, the government has so far transferred around ₹1,300 crore to more than 6.25 lakh soybean farmers across the state.
Dr. Yadav announced that the government will ensure employment opportunities for every needy and skilled youth in the state. He further stated that over 3.2 million farmers will be provided solar pumps, with the government offering up to 90 percent subsidy on the total cost.
Major Announcement under Ladli Behna Scheme: The Chief Minister also announced that the financial assistance under the Ladli Behna Scheme, currently ₹1,500 per month, will be increased to ₹3,000 in the future, strengthening economic support for women.
Development Projects Worth ₹145 Crore:
During the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 33 development projects worth over ₹145 crore. These included the inauguration of 12 projects costing more than ₹18 crore and foundation laying for 21 projects worth over ₹127 crore. He said these initiatives would play a key role in making Ratlam district cleaner, more beautiful, and better equipped with civic amenities.
New Development Initiatives for Jawra:
Dr. Yadav announced the construction of a modern outdoor and indoor stadium in Jawra, along with a One-Stop Centre for destitute women. He also announced ₹2 crore each for the construction of a heritage building and for the complete renovation of a dilapidated school. Additionally, new girls’ hostels will be built in villages Shujapur and Piploda, one in each location.
Irrigation, Livestock, and Road Infrastructure Projects:
The Chief Minister stated that the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal National River Linking Project will also benefit Ratlam district by ensuring permanent irrigation facilities. He added that the government is rapidly expanding livestock and dairy development across the state.
He further informed that a new four-lane highway costing around ₹5,000 crore will be constructed in the Malwa region, passing through Ratlam district. Farmers’ concerns will be fully addressed during the project implementation, and compensation will be enhanced if required.
