Leaf Blight – Leaves dry from the top and show ash-like spots. Grains do not develop in the panicles.
Khaira Disease – Lower leaves turn yellow and later develop brown spots. Plant growth stops.
Sheath Blight – White-brown patches appear on the stems. Panicles do not emerge, and grains get damaged.
Blast Disease – Leaves appear burnt. The crop can be affected at any stage.
Thrips Disease – Yellow-white holes appear on the leaves. Grains do not form properly, reducing the yield.
Solution – Timely spraying, balanced fertilization, and removal of old infected plants is the real cure.
